November 1, 2006 by Michele Neylon 2 Comments

I’m not sure when this happened, but I’ve just noticed that PayPal has suddenly expanded the number of currencies available.
You can now maintain your account using the following:

  • Euro
  • Australian Dollar
  • Canadian Dollar
  • Czech Koruna
  • Danish Krone
  • Hong Kong Dollar
  • Hungarian Forint
  • New Zealand Dollar
  • Norwegian Krone
  • Polish Zloty
  • Pound Sterling
  • Singapore Dollar
  • Swedish Krona
  • Swiss Franc
  • U.S. Dollar
  • Yen

Handy!

The two most useful (IMHO) are Danish Krone and Swedish Krona, which combined with the United Kingdom Pound, make PayPal a more cost effective method of money transfer then a bank IBAN/BIC transfer, within Europe for certain amounts.

It depends who you are dealing with .. I don’t deal with Denmark or Sweden ever 🙂
