True… website Content Management Systems comes to mind. When website developers/designers created these systems and ultimately relinquished the task of updating their clients’ sites, they most likely said ‘goodbye’ to a nice recurring income. On the other hand… it did give them time/space to focus on more creative endeavours… like erm, playing Battlefield 2 for example! 🙂
