I’ve booked my hotel for my trip to Sydney in June… (The ICANN meeting is on there and since I didn’t go to Mexico I sort of have to go to Sydney)

So what are the “must do” and “must see” things in Sydney?

(I already got a copy of the Rough Guide to Sydney, but I haven’t had a chance to open it yet…)

    Simple.
Rent a car, and find some of those drive thru off licences that they have over there in Oz.
    😉

    * the bridgeclimb is a must
    * the zoo (go by ferry)
    * the outside of the opera house and then walk arround the botanical gardens,
*get the train out to katoomba for the day and go see the blue mountains.
    * ferry across to manly beach
    * general wandering around downtown, the rocks, darling harbour. Sydney has a nice compact city centre.

Go scuba diving with the cuttle fish and giant squid in Camp Cove.
Catch a Shaylee Wilde gig in The Mercantile, The Rocks.
See a drag show on Oxford St.
Do a proper tour inside the Opera House.
    How long are you there?
    Have a steak, they’re massive.
Grab a meal in the revolving restaurant in Centrepoint tower.
Lose some money in the casino.
    Do some more diving.

Leave Sydney immediately after the meeting and spend the weekend in Melbourne. It’s much nicer there.
