IPv6 day came and went and still none of the major commercial ISPs are offering IPv6.
None of the Irish government websites are available over IPv6 and only a tiny number of sites are dualstacked.

Successive Irish governments have harped on about the “knowledge economy” and tried to play up how “advanced” the country is, but we’re years behind the IPv6 curve.

Why is that?

  1. Free in France had IPv6 months ago when I arrived. It’s a one click switch when I login to change things over.

Are the Irish ISPs doing anything similar?

None of the main Irish ISPs are doing anything as far as I can tell.
They were all running tests a couple of years ago, but that seems to be about it for now..
