While I was expecting it to be a fun event I wasn’t expecting it to coincide so closely with the latest domain scandal – Network Solutions are up to no good! It seems like the internet industry gets over one bit of furore only for another one to come out of the woodwork.
What will be next?
In any case I expect NetSol’s latest ploy to be a hot topic.
Of course a trip to LA would be a bit boring if I was closeted away in a hotel for my entire stay, so I’m hoping to take in a few touristy things over the couple of “free” days prior to the event. I’m not 100% what I’ll get up to yet, but LA isn’t exactly a boring city, so I’m sure I’ll find something to keep myself amused 🙂
If nothing else I can always go and ogle the new Apple Macs!

For some reason I have always used NetSol for checking whether or not domains were available, and if I decide to register I then go to GoDaddy and register it there. I think it has something to do with the fact that I (stupidly) trusted NetSol more than I did GoDaddy not to “hold” the domain once I had checked its availability, and I just like the way Network Solutions display the results of my search.
Luckily I haven’t been caught by this trap myself, but let it be said that I won’t foolishly use NetSol for checking domains in the future!
