Floor to Ceiling Bookcase Shelving Finally Installed

March 25, 2017 by Michele Neylon Leave a Comment

I'm currently "on the road" for a 3 week stint. While I enjoy travelling I'd prefer to be at home a bit more at the moment, as I really want to get stuff out of boxes. Over the last couple of months I've become much more interested in sorting out my house than I have in spending time living out of a suitcase! Up until about a week ago, however, I had nowhere to put anything … [Read more...] about Floor to Ceiling Bookcase Shelving Finally Installed

Declaring the New House a Smoke Free Zone

Improving the Bathrooms’ Aesthetics Slightly

You'd have to completely remodel the bathroom and move just about everything to do it and I really don't have the … [Read more...] about Improving the Bathrooms’ Aesthetics Slightly

Solar Panels Fully Installed and Working

February 26, 2017 by Michele Neylon 1 Comment

I've always been interested in greener living through use of technology. Over the past 30 years solar energy has gone from being something incredibly complicated and expensive, to being much more commonplace and relatively affordable. Sure, it's still not "cheap", but you can get a variety of grants from the Irish government if you improve your house's energy efficiency and … [Read more...] about Solar Panels Fully Installed and Working

Solar Panels, Dishwashers and Washing Machines

February 18, 2017 by Michele Neylon 2 Comments

Over the past couple of weeks I've been settling in to the new house. There are still a few things that aren't in place just yet, but hopefully they'll be done in the next few weeks (fingers crossed!). As part of the heating system upgrades I opted for solar panels to handle heating the water. They're not fully installed yet, but they should be in the next few days. For now … [Read more...] about Solar Panels, Dishwashers and Washing Machines
