A number of people had raised concerns about CD Wow’s service being less than stellar of late.
It now transpires that the company was bought by Australian company Stomp International.
I haven’t had any reason to purchase anything from them in quite some time, so I’ve no idea how good or bad service was during their “bad patch”, but they used to be excellent.

Why bother ….
Trice branded and twice made fools of…
I’m running my current torrent at 200 down and 50 up.
Zenwalk is something that you all should take a look at.
Treat yourself once in a while..

Personally I like owning the CDs or DVDs.
I don’t get your reference to Zenwalk. Isn’t that a linux distro?

I’ve given up on CD-Wow. I placed an order with them a couple of months ago, and had nothing but problems with it. I won’t go into the details, but suffice to say that after a month my order hadn’t been delivered, so I just canceled it.
Up until then, I was a big supporter of CD-Wow. I don’t agree with the fact that a movie that costs €10 in the Far East should cost 3 times that much in Europe. It’s the exact same “product”, so why should I pay more for it just because of where I live?
CD-Wow saw a business opportunity and took it. Unfortunately for them it turned out to be illegal to do so. It doesn’t mean that they were wrong, just that the media companies have better connections to the people who write the laws.
Hopefully, the owners can get CD-Wow back on track. They used to be a great company and I’d really like to see them succeed at what they’re doing.

It makes me sick to see how much I *could* pay for a new release DVD in a highstreet shop.
It makes me sick that the film companies created different regions
It makes me sick that Xtravision charge over 5 euro per night for a new release DVD

I have no problem with buying CD’s and DVD’s. In fact, I buy quite a few every month, but it irks me to no end that every time I do buy a DVD, I have to wonder how much I’m being shafted for.
Personally I buy from play.com and sendit.com. I’ve found both to be reliable and inexpensive compared to the high street.
There is always bittorrent, but I couldn’t really be bothered. I’d rather wait for the DVD release and at least have something that’s watchable.

It looks like CD wow is back alright. Orders now being delivered quickly. As long as they keep the prices down they have my custom

I have discussed the potential impact of the European court ruling that put CD-wow out of commission for a while back in April 07. I think EMI is really starting to feel the pinch for their scant disregard for consumer’s wallets, with Robbie Williams, Coldplay and Kylie all apparently fixing on making a move out.

I ordered a game from CD wow which surprise surprise never arrived. To date I have 18 email but they keep making excuses and will not refund my account. I would advise people not to use the CD WOW site they are uncontactable by phone and unwilling to refund clients. I have learned my lesson!
