Every time people head over to the US for a few days they always seem to come back laden with gadgets and gizmos that cost a fraction of what you pay here. (Or at least that’s the impression I’ve been given).
With that in mind, what should I pick up in LA?
Hookers
I didn’t know they came in electronic versions….
Ten Mac Book Pro’s? Flog them at the next Bar Camp 🙂
Ken
Is there that much of a difference in price?
Would I get stung at customs?

Burritos. yum!
“what should I pick up in LA?”
Anything but the Clap.
Justin – to bring back?
Grandad – that’s a given 🙂
no, just to eat there. seriously! muy sabroso!
“what should I pick up in LA?”
Can you bring me back Sandra Bullock please?
Oh, and BTW, listen to ‘popeyemoon’ above – he’s from that neck of the woods.
Justin – ok so 🙂
Any places I should go in LA??
Grandad – we were talking about Ms Bullock the other evening. While she is cute we don’t think she’s “hot”, though we can’t work out why…
I know there are “hotter” totties over there, but at least she has a bit of a brain. She can finish my Sudoku for me anytime.
Places in LA to go would be:
Sunset blvd. – great street, loads of weird and wacky shops
Mullholland drive
Santa Monica Peer
Amoebia Records on sunset – http://www.amoeba.com/ – probably one of the best music shops in the world.
Try and get on one of those tours that go around all the celebrity houses and hangouts…
If you can take a few days and drive to San Franisco – about a 5-6 hour drive, a really amazing city.
Colm
Thanks for that 🙂
I don’t think I’ll be venturing out of LA this time, as I’ll be in a conference for 2 or 3 days, but I’ll keep San Francisco in mind for a future trip
