Taming the Garden, Adding More Touches and Taking a few Aerial Photos

June 4, 2017 by Michele Neylon Leave a Comment

One of the things that I love about the house is that it has ample space around it, including a fairly big back garden. Unfortunately nobody had done anything with the garden in years. The garden at the front of the house was kept reasonably tidy, but the area at the back of the house was completely wild. A few weeks ago a friend cut the grass for me, but by the time I came … [Read more...] about Taming the Garden, Adding More Touches and Taking a few Aerial Photos

I Finally Bought a House

December 13, 2016 by Michele Neylon 4 Comments

As of this afternoon I am a house owner. Or, put another way, I have a mortgage. I've been living in rented accommodation since I was 18. When I lived in … [Read more...] about The Upsides To Small Town Living

Omniplex Carlow Official Opening

June 12, 2015 by Michele Neylon Leave a Comment

I don't often get invited to official openings and launch events. So getting invited to the opening of the new cinema in Carlow was nice. Combine that with the screening of Jurassic World and it was impossible to pass it up. So last night a few of us headed over to the Omniplex in Carlow, which is in the centre of the town. They gave us VIP tickets, which made us all feel … [Read more...] about Omniplex Carlow Official Opening

Halfords’ Marketing Is A Tad Clueless

November 30, 2014 by Michele Neylon Leave a Comment

Spotted earlier today outside the Halfords in Carlow: Dear Halfords, While I'm sure your pricing is competitive, Carlow is a town in Ireland. Ireland is not part of the UK and hasn't been for quite some time. On a more serious note. If you're doing business internationally you need to be aware of cultural and political sensitivities. In the case of Halfords being … [Read more...] about Halfords’ Marketing Is A Tad Clueless
