As a newcomer to the Mac (or returning to one if you include my experiences with them in the 80s and 90s) I haven’t had time to really explore some of the basic things.
Silly little actions that come naturally when using my Linux or Windows machines cause me minor headaches, as I don’t know the quick way to do them.
This helpful page has a load of keyboard shortcuts, that I’m adding to bookmarks immediately!

Imagine what it’s like for those of us who have to leave the Promised Land for Linux/Windows every now and then.*
Windows ripped off the Mac poorly. Linux (KDE/Gnome) rips off Windows inconsistently! So we end up with a bazillion different combos to learn…and learn we do…

Thanks for this Michele – also straight to bookmarks. I like to think of myself as cross platform though I mostly use PC but one of the things that drives me nuts about MAC is lack of keyboard shortcuts in apps – especially accessing toolbars and menus in say Photoshop.

@MJ – I move between the different OS on a regular enough basis and it is a veritable minefield 🙂 I’ve a draft post on this kind of thing somewhere (along with a couple of hundred other rants 🙂 )
Of course it’s a two way street (or 3 way)
@Heidi – To save my sanity I try to use certain apps on all platforms eg. Firefox – it makes it a small bit saner
