Not so many moons ago I mentioned Google Sitemaps which may help with indexing your site.
Google are now providing a handly list of plugins, produced by 3rd parties, that hook into their API.
For bloggers there is a plugin for WordPress, while there are others for popular applications such as oscommerce, vbulletin, phpbb and plone (to mention but a few)
I’ve noticed some fellow bloggers are relying on third-party services to generate their sitemaps and google has listed a number of those also
The only one I have any experience of is the WordPress plugin, so I am only providing links to the others

I’ve found sitemap to be a very useful feature. I use autositemap which generates the sitemap based on my visitors hitting pages with a link embeded in the footer to autositemap.
As the bots tend to turn up after a ping and activate the link, this tends to work nicely, 3 days later Google is showing 300~ of my blog pages in the index and I’m getting a lot more hits from Google.
Google downloads my sitemap every day or so and autositemap allows you to use a proxy script to /blog/sitemap.php that actually calls the result direct from autositemap.com, pretty cool ‘eh

The sitemap.php idea sounds interesting, but I like keeping everything internal where possible 🙂
