Irish television will be 100% digital within the next 12 months. Analog will cease to exist.
A lot of people supposedly don’t know about this, so our “beloved” government decided to spend taxpayers’ money promoting the switch to digital. This is the “dog’s dinner” of a website that they’re using for the campaign:
I guess I should be happy that they didn’t spend any money on the website and hire an actual designer .. though I’m pretty sure an off the shelf template site would have looked better than this..
Pity, as raising awareness about the switch to digital is pretty important, though I honestly don’t believe that any ISP will be wasting money on buying spectrum when it’s made available ..

This website is an embarrassment.. It definitly does not show the skills of many professional web developers and designers in Ireland. Poor refection of the skills that we have to offer.

Wow, this is pretty pathetic all right… love they way they’re so eager to promote accessibility in the footer yet the link down there (a) is broken (b) the site fails on w3c validation with 37 errors…
Typical attitude of many… just get the content up there, slap a facebook & twitter link on it, roll out a few press releases & wait until the next assignment..
It appears these guys are involved in the social media campaign, not sure whether the’re responsible for the website or not.. http://www.bespokewithdirection.ie/
