Cork Isn’t Near Dublin and Ireland Isn’t British

March 6, 2012 by Michele Neylon 8 Comments

If you use location based services then you've probably found yourself being "located" miles from where you actually are. Killeagh County Cork is not "near Dublin", but Facebook was convinced that it was all weekend .. Irish people are not "British". Ireland is not part of the United Kingdom either. Geographically the island is part of the British Isles, though I … [Read more...] about Cork Isn’t Near Dublin and Ireland Isn’t British

Irish Politics Needs To Be Less About The Party And More About The Country

This monopoly is reflected in the prices: small bottle of water - between … [Read more...] about Market Forces At Work – Coffee In CDG

Pricing Stupidity

August 15, 2011 by Michele Neylon 1 Comment

This is more of a rant than anything else.. While the US dollar and the Euro might be close in value from time to time they aren't the same currency. 1 US dollar is worth less than 1 Euro. However there are software vendors out there that think it's "acceptable" to charge the same to both their European customers as they do their US based ones - simply changing the currency … [Read more...] about Pricing Stupidity
