WordPress 1.5

I finally got round to upgrading my install to v 1.5
At the moment it’s using the default theme, but I’ll probably change that once I have some time to play with it.
There are a lot of new features, so it will probably take me a while to discover them all.
Possibly the “coolest” addition to any blogger’s arsenal is the addition of the “Plugin Manager” which gives you direct access to WordPress plugins from within your blog.
Some of the plugins do require manual intervention, but you can auto-install quite a few with no extra work.

You’ll have to upgrade manually 🙂
Unfortunately one of the weaknesses with installatron is that it doesn’t upgrade existing installations.

  2. Okay, is it available on the installatron now?
I imagine I could just dump my wordpress database and then just re-import data to the new DB after installing. (after checking upgrade instructions)

  3. There are two ways you could do it:
1 – manually download the new install files etc and follow the upgrade instructions
2 – Backup your DB and use installatron to install a fresh one
Using installatron you could lose data
