RSS Feed Tweaks (Again!)

April 20, 2009 by Michele Neylon 4 Comments

I’ve made another couple of minor changes to the RSS feed from this site, so any feedback would be appreciated.

What’s changed?

I’ve added a daily delicious bookmarks thing as well as my Flickr feed.

If you think these shouldn’t be there let me know and I’ll remove them

Personally I could do without seeing the bookmarks and photos.

Well I just realised that they’re sending the link for the delicious links directly to my Delicious profile, so I’ve disabled both for the moment …
I *might* autopost links to here at some point, though I’d prefer to have some level of control over the process

I’m undecided about delicious bookmarks in feeds – sometimes I find the links very interesting, yet when there are too many of them (too many posts, not necessarily too many links) they too get irritating and take away from the usual interesting writings and so forth that I look for in my feeds.
Pics are also a difficult one – I’m not sure they should be there, or if they are, be careful not to upload 15+ at a time.

I think Phil has stated rather elegantly what I was trying to get across. A daily update of links and photos (that may or may not have any relevance to the topics of the blog) might swamp the less irregular but more important posts.
