Darren mentioned some new ad formats that Google were rolling out a couple of days ago.
They’re now appearing on sites that I run like the sample below:

New Google Adsense Formats
I saw some of these on vertical leaderboards on my forum site. To be honest I would be surprised if these would convert better. It’s not so intuitive (to me anyway) that the ads will change when you click on them.
I noticed them too on my own blogs and wondered where those links came from. TBH, it sort of annoyed me as the floating text in the middle of nowhere looks rather lost!
