Irish Schools – Conservative Madness

Two teenagers have been denied access to state exams because of their haircut.
It’s 2006 for Christ’s sake! The students want to sit their exams and some ultra-conservative school rule is blocking them access.
Shouldn’t we be encouraging children to embrace education?
Shouldn’t we be happy that they want to sit exams?
If they had been drinking underage would they have been denied access?
