Blue Monday WITHOUT Electronics

New Order’s “Blue Monday” is a classic, but it’s a classic of a particular genre of music that relies very heavily on electronics.

I’ve no idea why they did this, but a couple of years back somebody did a version using musical instruments only available in the 1930s ie. long before the advent of electronics in music. Any by instruments we mean anything that can make sound, as you’ll see (and hear).

It’s really fantastic – enjoy!

Pity they haven’t done more cover versions!
