I listen to music on my desktop machines and share the data with Last.fm. I also pay for the Last.fm subscriber service, as it allows me to find new and interesting music to listen to.
The amount of data that Last.fm have about music is truly astounding and you can do some pretty interesting things with the information if you know how.
Fortunately there are people out there who know how to make use of it!

I really like this stuff, especially the timeline of music tastes I remember you posting a while back, because of that I keep meaning to pay for a subscription, even for just a month to get these visual infographics, if they can be described as that (in the UK I don’t need to pay to listen to my “radio station” or my “recommended station”).

Whilst not exactly the same thing, the visualisation in the second screenshot reminded me of this site which I came across some years ago:
